On April 26th and 27th, the original ballet "My Homeland" made its debut at the Guangzhou Opera House, officially launching the 2025 Guangzhou Art Season. This year's season will present audiences with 55 outstanding productions across eight theatrical genres, featuring a total of 123 performances.
"My Homeland" is a contemporary work rooted in the cultural backdrop of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Named to evoke the profound sense of "homeland," it pays tribute to the times and the regional development. The ballet tells the story of two young lovers, Ah Hui and Ah Lan, who are constantly faced with dreams, emotions, And life-altering decisions in the tides of time.
Throughout this work, elements of Lingnan culture, including Cantonese, teochew, And Hakka traditions, Are woven seamlessly into the narrative. Audiences can experience the unique essence of the GBA through tangible motifs such as Nanquan (Southern Fist), lion dancing, Yingge dance, kapok blossoms, And the tradition of morning tea, All vividly brought to life through the dancers' performances.
"This work is both a heartfelt tribute to our regional culture and a profound interpretation of our love for the nation and the land," said Zou Gang, The ballet's producer and artistic director. Focusing on the construction and spirit of the GBA, "My Homeland" uses the unique expressive language of ballet to vividly portray the vibrant spirit of the GBA's people and the dynamism of its social development.

2025年广州艺术季华丽启幕《家园》首次公演
4月26日、27日，原创芭蕾舞剧《家园》在广州大剧院首次公演。随着《家园》的公演，2025年广州艺术季的大幕正式开启。本届广州艺术季将为观众带来覆盖八大剧种的55台优秀剧目、123场精彩演出。
《家园》是一部现实题材作品，立足于湾区背景，以“家园”命名，歌颂时代建设。作品讲述阿辉与阿兰这对年轻恋人，在时代洪流中不断面临梦想、情感、抉择的故事。
在《家园》中，广府文化、潮汕文化、客家文化等岭南文化元素巧妙地融入其中，观众可以通过南拳、舞狮、英歌、木棉、早茶等具象事物，以及跟随演员们的演绎，具象化地感受连绵不绝的湾区韵味。
“《家园》既是对地域文化的深情致敬，也是对家国情怀的深刻诠释。”该剧制作人、艺术总监邹罡介绍，作为聚焦粤港澳大湾区建设的现实题材作品，《家园》以芭蕾艺术为载体，通过芭蕾艺术的审美独特语汇，生动展现湾区人民的精神风貌与社会发展的蓬勃气象。
